| In January 2003 the WRVU management decided it was finally time to replace the old broadcast antenna system for the Vanderbilt University student radio station heard at 91.1 on the FM dial locally and also on the internet. The new antenna system consisted of a six bay ERI (Electronics Research Incorporated) 6E Circular Polarized array which is rated at 5.188 db of gain and is fifty feet in length. The antenna system is fed by 1 5/8 inch diameter Andrew gas dielectric coaxial cable. The tower also supports the WSMV (Channel 4), WZTV (Channel 17) and WSM-FM (95.5). |
